What Made You Get Into Korean Skincare?

This question has been asked of me often since before I even considered blogging full-time.  I decided to change my skincare routine mainly because I wasn’t consistently using one in the first place.  A few women that I followed on social media were discussing their favorite skincare products, and I was curious so I started to ask questions. One follower introduced me to a Facebook group by the name of Geom Girls, a group dedicated to Asian skincare and women of color. This group was so informative and extremely helpful to me starting out in my journey. I began researching Korean skincare from other blogs and Youtube Vloggers to find out more about my specific skin type. I’ve always struggled with acne and blackheads, which constantly caused hyperpigmentation for me. I had tried the completely natural product routine and it wasn’t for my skin. I still laugh at me trying to use ACV (Apple Cider Vinegar) as a toner, my skin was blackhead city!! But What also excited me about Korean skincare is that it catered to each skin issue specifically, something a lot of western brands say they do, but do not do.  There has been quite a few trials and errors in my journey, as I’m constantly trying to learn new things daily; however I am looking forward to sharing what I have learned with anyone who wants to listen. Stay tuned!!

  1. I’m in a similar situation! I’ve tried the natural thing for a while, but it’s not working for me anymore. Too much oil around me! How did you find your skin type/combination? I’ve always struggled with this.
